Please note: license protected files (like iTune video or movies purchased from some websites) will NOT play. Some video files with high resolution might need to be compressed to 320 * 240 to play. Great for the money!!

To compare this to the more expensive mp3 players would be unfair so I won't recommend as any sort of replacement. We use it as a last resort for the kids to keep them busy in public if all else fails. It's been dropped, bitten, stepped on and has kept on going. So it's far more durable then I thought. Is the picture quality great? No. Its ok. For the kids, they don't know any better. The volume is loud enough so you can hear it in a mall or department store. Is the UI great? No. But it gets the job done. Is the screen like an iPad or Itouch. NO! Its not very responsive but using your nail works pretty good, since it doesn't really react well to finger tips. Getting movies on it wasn't as easy as an IPad or Galaxy, but once you understand the process, it's fine. The charge is OK. Videos run for probably around 3 hrs.
For Around $50, what can you really expect. It cant really compare in any way to a $200 player. For the kids, it's great. Small enough and cheap enough that when it does break, you get over it. They don't get hung up on the tech specs either like I would.. For them it's the little iPad and that's good enough for me. As long as your expectations are kept in check it's a great little pyrus electronics media player.

Pyrus Electronics MP3 Player is OK!!

I purchased two of Pyrus electronics MP3 player .One for each of my daughter's, ages 7 and 9. You get what you pay for. This was $40.00. The touch screen doesn't always work, you have to touch it quite a few times for it to select. You can record your voice on the player, but you cannot delete any recordings. If you can there are no directions on how to do so.
This is ok for a child instead of purchasing an Itouch, but all it can do is play music. I have tried downloading any movies on it.
